The Trolex AIR XS is a real-time area monitor for respirable crystalline silica (RCS) using Optical Refraction Technology (ORT) to continuously detect hazardous silica and total dust concentrations. It measures RCS particles from 1β10 Β΅m across a range of 0β1,000 Β΅g/mΒ³ with resolution to 0.001 mg/mΒ³. Sampling intervals are configurable from 1 to 60 seconds, with rolling averages from 15 minutes to 12 hours. Battery life is 8β10 hours with continuous AC power operation also available. Compliant with NIOSH 7500/7602 and OSHA silica standards. Suited for mining, construction, and industrial hygiene programs requiring continuous, real-time silica exposure data without laboratory turnaround delays.
