ILT2400 by International Light Technologies - Handheld UV Radiometer

The ILT2400 is a research-grade handheld light meter and optometer designed for precise UV and optical radiation measurement across a broad UV band. It features automatic ranging across 8 decades of intensity with internal Accuspan smart averaging, and can capture peak events as brief as 100 µs while logging up to 16 readings per second with time/date stamping. The 4.3" touchscreen display operates in portrait or landscape mode. All readings are ISO 17025 & NIST-traceable.

RAECO Rents provides two calibrated detector probes: SED005/WBS320/W (250–400 nm) for broadband UVA/UVB monitoring and sterilization studies, and XSD140T254 (249–259 nm) for narrowband germicidal UV-C validation and disinfection compliance. Suited for UVGI/sterilization compliance, photobiological safety assessments, phototherapy, and optical radiation hazard studies.

What is the ILT2400 used for?
It's a research-grade optometer for measuring UV and optical radiation with NIST-traceable calibration. It's used for UVGI system validation, photobiological safety assessments, UV-curing process monitoring, phototherapy output verification, and optical radiation hazard documentation — applications where a basic light meter isn't sufficient.
What UV wavelength bands do the available probes cover?
RAECO rents two calibrated probes: SED005/WBS320/W covering 250–400 nm (UVA/UVB broadband) and XSD140T254 covering 249–259 nm (germicidal UV-C around 254 nm).
Why does probe selection matter so much for UV measurements?
UV hazards and performance are wavelength-specific. A UVA/UVB broadband probe gives invalid results for germicidal UV-C, and vice versa. Match the probe to the lamp type and the decision you need to make — wrong probe means wrong answer regardless of how accurate the meter is.
ILT2400 vs. a basic light meter — what's the difference?
A basic light meter measures visible illumination (Lux/Fc). The ILT2400 measures UV and optical radiation with wavelength-specific probes and traceable calibration — required for UVGI validation, safety documentation, and any application where the wavelength band and measurement accuracy matter.
What's a common mistake when measuring UVGI or UV-curing intensity?
Using the wrong probe wavelength band, and taking a single reading at one distance and treating it as representative of the work zone. Use a defined measurement plan: consistent probe orientation, documented distance to source, and multiple points across the exposure area.
Does the ILT2400 datalog?
Yes — up to 16 readings per second with 4 GB internal memory, and it can capture peaks as brief as 100 µs. Confirm your export format and reporting workflow before the measurement event.
What's included in the rental kit?
The ILT2400 meter with touchscreen display, one or two calibrated probes, USB cables with AC adapter, USB flash drive with software/firmware/manuals, flat-head screwdriver, and NIST-traceable calibration certificates.
What does it cost to rent the ILT2400?
$120/day and $325/week. Pricing beyond two weeks is by quote. Probe configuration (UVA/UVB broadband, UV-C 254 nm, or both) is confirmed at booking — having both probes available is recommended for UVGI validation projects covering multiple lamp types.
