How to use a TSI QUESTemp heat stress monitor

The TSI QUESTemp° 36 is a portable area heat stress monitor for occupational and environmental heat stress assessments. It measures dry bulb, natural wet bulb, globe temperature, and relative humidity, calculating WBGT (Wet Bulb Globe Temperature) indoors and outdoors along with Heat Index (U.S.) and Humidex (Canada). Stay time guidance helps manage work/rest regimens based on ACGIH TLV®, U.S. Navy PHEL charts, and EPRI action limits. Measurement range covers 0–120°C (±0.5°C) for temperature and 20–95% RH (±5%), with remote sensor support up to 200 ft (60 m). Runs on a 9V alkaline battery (up to 140 hours) with RS-232 serial output and compatibility with 3M Detection Management Software. Well-suited for industrial facilities, construction sites, athletic events, and hot work environments requiring OSHA- or ACGIH-based heat management programs.
