The Wavecontrol SMP3 configured with WP10M and WPF60 probes provides electromagnetic field measurement from 1 Hz to 60 GHz. It measures low-frequency electric and magnetic fields (1 Hz–10 MHz) and RF electric fields (1 MHz–60 GHz) with true RMS detection, dual-band FFT analysis, and ISO 17025 calibration.

Used to measure power-frequency EMF, VLF/LF radio emissions, and RF exposure across power utilities, railway systems, industrial manufacturing, telecommunications, and research applications. This extended-frequency kit enables comprehensive ELF through 5G assessments in a single rental.

What is the WaveControl SMP3 used for?
It measures AC magnetic fields and ELF electric fields for occupational EMF exposure assessment. It's used in surveys of industrial environments with transformers, motors, power lines, and other equipment generating power-frequency and low-frequency electromagnetic fields.
What does each probe measure?
The WP10M probe measures AC magnetic fields across a wide frequency range up to 10 MHz. The WPF60 probe measures ELF electric fields at power-frequency (50/60 Hz). Together they cover the field types relevant to power-frequency and low-frequency occupational EMF surveys.
SMP3 vs. SMP2 or SMP DC Kit — when do I use which?
SMP3 is configured for AC power-frequency magnetic and ELF electric field surveys. SMP DC Kit targets static (DC) and very low frequency fields (MRI, rail). SMP2 supports broader frequency ranges and additional probe configurations. Choose based on your source type and measurement frequency range.
