What is the WaveControl SMP DC Kit used for?
It measures static (DC) electric and magnetic fields and ELF (extremely low frequency) fields for occupational EMF exposure assessment in environments with DC machinery, rail traction systems, MRI suites, and industrial DC equipment.
What does each probe measure?
The WPH-DC probe measures DC and ELF magnetic fields. The WPF60 probe measures ELF electric fields up to 60 Hz. The WP10M probe extends magnetic field measurement to higher frequency ranges. Together they characterize both E-field and H-field components across the DC through ELF range.
SMP DC Kit vs. SMP2 or SMP3 — when should I use this one?
The SMP DC Kit targets static and ELF field measurement (DC machinery, MRI, rail). The SMP2 and SMP3 support broader AC and RF frequency ranges. Choose the DC Kit for DC/ELF sources; choose SMP2/SMP3 for AC power-frequency or higher-frequency sources.
