The SciAps X-550 (Lead Paint) is a handheld XRF analyzer configured exclusively for HUD-compliant lead-based paint testing. Using a high-resolution silicon drift detector (SDD), it delivers initial results in 1 second with automatic updates for increased precision. Substrate correction and GPS-tagged results support HUD/EPA compliance documentation. An integrated micro and macro camera enables photo-documentation of test areas. Runs on Android OS with built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Well-suited for pre-renovation screening, LEED testing, and lead paint compliance programs.
