The SciAps X-550 (Lead Paint, RCRA, & Alloys) is a handheld XRF analyzer covering lead-based paint compliance, RCRA metals screening, and alloy identification in a single instrument. It features a high-current Rh anode X-ray tube (50 kV, 500 ยตA, 5 W) with a 20 mmยฒ silicon drift detector (SDD) at 140 eV resolution, delivering results in 1 second. Included apps cover Lead Paint (HUD-compliant), RCRA (8 RCRA metals + 12 EPA Priority Pollutant Metals), Alloy (500+ grade library, 30+ pre-calibrated elements), Sulfidic Corrosion, and Residuals. Includes an integrated micro and macro camera and built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Suited for PMI/NDT, environmental screening, and lead paint compliance programs.

Residuals App offers full alloy chemistry and grade ID, with an optimized calibration and test configuration for Ni, Cr, Cu, Nb and V in Carbon Steel. Also automatically calculates Cr + Ni + Cu and Nb + V for verifying low RE material.

This analyzer will NOT detect rare earth elements. The X555 is the only analyzer that will detect REE's as it has a 55kV tube.
