How to produce a report on critical data with the TSI Detection Management Suite

Learn how to filter and report on specific data sets within the TSI Detection Management Suite (DMS). This 7-minute guide is specifically designed for users who have multiple "Studies" under one "Session", a common occurrence when a dosimeter is paused and restarted. RAECO Rents specialist Jordan shows you how to isolate critical data to create clean, professional reports for compliance.

Step 1: Understanding Sessions vs. Studies

When using the TSI Edge Dosimeter, starting and stopping the device multiple times before saving and closing will result in multiple Studies listed under a single Session. This setup allows you to group related data points together for cleaner organization [00:15].

Step 2: Selecting Data for the Report

To ensure your report only contains the most relevant data:

  • Navigate to Data Finder: Locate the specific Session containing your studies.

  • Filter Studies: Instead of selecting the entire Session, you can drill down to individual Studies. This is crucial if certain run periods were accidental or contained "noise spikes" you wish to exclude [00:45].

  • Right-Click Selection: Highlight the specific study you need, right-click, and select the report generation tool [01:10].

Step 3: Customizing the Layout

The software allows you to toggle specific panels on or off to focus on critical data:

  • Summary Panel: Best for a high-level overview of TWA and dose.

  • Log Data Chart: Essential for visualizing noise levels over the duration of the study [01:40].

  • Exceedance Tables: Useful for identifying exactly when noise levels crossed regulatory limits.
