Pre-Setup Requirements
Before you begin the export, ensure you have your login credentials ready. The default login is typically admin with the password 12345 [00:28].
Step 1: Exporting Results from the Device
The SciAps X550 allows you to export your data directly to its internal SD card in either Excel or PDF formats:
Access Results: From the main screen, navigate to the Results section to view your measurements [00:52].
Open Menu: Tap the three-dot menu icon in the top-right corner [01:29].
Select Export: Choose Export All Results (or use filters to export specific data sets) and select the SD Card as your destination [01:43].
Choose Format: Select either Excel (best for data manipulation) or PDF (best for formatted reports) [01:52].
Select Template: Choose the appropriate template for your application (e.g., Lead Paint) and tap Start Export [02:43].
Step 2: Connecting to Your Computer
Once the device confirms that the results have been successfully exported, you can transfer the files to your PC:
Locate USB Port: Find the USB port located underneath the screen on the bottom of the unit. You may need to pull back a protective dust cover [03:34].
Plug In: Connect the analyzer to your computer using the provided USB cable [04:14].
Step 3: Retrieving Your Data Files
Your computer will recognize the XRF as a removable storage device (often labeled "ngx"):
Open the Device Folder: Navigate to the removable storage drive on your computer [04:24].
Find the Export Folder: Open the folder specifically labeled Export. Note: Do not touch or modify any other folders, as this can interfere with the equipment's functionality [04:54].
Access Files: Your Excel files will be found in this main Export folder as .CSV files, while PDF reports will be located within a subfolder labeled PDF [05:06].
Review in Excel: If your Excel date columns appear as symbols (####), simply expand the column width to view the full timestamps and data [05:30].
